Librarian – Eligibility as per CBSE Norms

A Librarian in a CBSE-affiliated school is responsible for managing the library, organizing books and digital resources, and assisting students and teachers in research and reading activities. Eligibility Criteria as per CBSE Norms: Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc.) or Library & Information Science (B.L.I.Sc.) from a recognized university. OR Master’s Degree in Library Science (M.Lib.Sc.) or Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) from a recognized university. Experience (Preferred but not Mandatory): Some schools may prefer candidates with prior experience in a school/educational institution. Skills & Additional Requirements: Proficiency in library management systems and digital cataloging. Knowledge of educational resources, research tools, and IT applications in library management. Good communication and organizational skills. As per CBSE guidelines, every school must have a well-equipped library with a qualified librarian to support students in developing reading habits and research skills.

Special Educator – Eligibility as per CBSE Norms

A Special Educator is responsible for teaching and supporting students with disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate education and developmental assistance. As per the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) norms, the eligibility criteria for a Special Educator include: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. B.Ed. in Special Education (or equivalent qualification) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Alternatively, B.Ed. (General) with a one-year Diploma/Certificate in Special Education from an RCI-approved institution. Master’s Degree in Special Education (for higher-level teaching positions).
